Automatic Brake
When the crank is turned in either a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction, torque is applied to a brake spring mechanism, reducing the outside diameter of the spring, releasing braking torque. If the handle is released at any time, the brake torque is automatically applied as the spring unloads, holding the load securely.
